Five people die in Moloto Road collision

Five people died on the R573 after a collision near Kwaggafontein last night.

Both drivers and one passenger died at the scene. Two other passengers succumbed to their injuries at Kwamhlanga Hospital.

“One passenger sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment at the hospital.

It is not clear what caused the crash at this stage. The investigation into the collision is already underway,” said Community Safety, Security and Liaison spokesperson, Mmoeti Mmusi.

MEC Vusi Shongwe sent condolences to the bereaved families and also wished the injured person a speedy recovery. It is believed that the victims are Kwaggafontein and Matshiding village residents.
