More arrests made in Lebombo corruption case

KOMATIPOORT – Three more suspects between the ages of 36 and 51 were arrested at Lebombo Port of Entry on Sunday, November 14.

This brings the total of suspects to six following the arrest of three others last Friday. This included an Immigration Officer, a hawker who is a Mozambican national and a police officer for illegally issuing out temporary working permits to illegal immigrants.

The six suspects were detained at the Komartipoort police cells pending their court appearance today. The other two remaining suspects will be arrested soon.
