The African National Congress Provincial Treasurer, Mandla Msibi, is appealing to his suspension.
This development follows the provincial secretary Muzi Chirwa’s announcement in a media briefing on Wednesday, April 10. He said the Provincial Executive Committee decided to suspend Msibi. According to a statement by Msibi, he will initiate an appeal to the decision taken against him by the ANC Provincial Disciplinary Committee.

“After thoroughly examining the judgment presented by the Provincial Executive Committee (PEC), of the ANC on behalf of the PDC, the whole disciplinary process by the PEC and PDC is flawed and misconstrued. They have misinterpreted various clauses of rule 25 of the Constitution of the ANC. Therefore, a decision has been made to appeal the decision to the National Disciplinary Committee,” read the statement.
