A 38-year-old woman and her son (7) were burnt to death in Masoyi on Sunday.
According to police, the woman’s husband told the police that he left the deceased’s on March 5 to visit his friends. Upon his return, he noticed gushing smoke coming from the house.

“He then broke the door to gain access and found the house reduced to ashes, while his wife and child lay motionless in the charred remains of the building. Police and paramedics were summoned to the house where the victims were certified dead,” read the police statement.
The police are investing a case of inquest.
