Scholar bus crashes and injures seven learners

A school bus crashed into a tree and left seven learners seriously injured near Wakkerstroom in the Pixley Ka Isaka Seme Local Municipality yesterday.

The bus was allegedly hit by a bakkie after it failed to yield to stop at a Stop Sign. The injured learners were transported to Volkrust Hospital for medical attention.

The South African Police Service and Traffic Authorities investigating the cause of the accident. The MEC of Public Works, Roads and Transport, Gillion Mashego wished the learners a speedy recovery.
