MBOMBELA – A 60-year-old man was arrested after he set alight the ANC offices this morning.
According to the police, the man had a two litre bottle filled with petrol. He then poured petrol in the building, set it alight, and walked out. However, only three offices caught fire.

“The authorities were alerted about the incident and the fire was extinguished. About three offices caught fire, and no one got injured. The estimated damage is unknown at this stage. Meanwhile, the suspect will appear in court soon.,” said SAPS provincial spokesperson Brig Selvy Mohlala.

ANC provincial spokesperson Sasekani Manzini said it was a relief that none of the staff members were injured. “We condemn this because our offices are serve our members in running the affairs of movement.”
