#Remake2020: SuperSport United to face off with TTM

The Premier Soccer League and MTN launched the 2020 MTN8 Wafa Wafa tournament on Monday. 

According to the PSL, This year’s campaign promises to enhance fans experience by encouraging them to remake 2020 with the spirit of Wafa Wafa by participating in the tournament engagement activities to stand a chance to win a share of the R8 million worth of prizes. 

The kick-off of the tournament is set to take place on Saturday when the defending champions, SuperSport United will go head on with the latest addition to the DStv Premiership, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila to secure a spot in the running for the grand prize and to defend their title.

The defending champions, Matsatsantsa announced the signing of Polokwane City goalkeeper, George Chigova and Stellenbosch striker, Iqraam Rayners on two-year deals. They also signed Bidvest Wits duo, Mpho Mathebula and SA U20 international, Keenan Phillips on a two-year deals.

The Clever Boys academy graduates were introduced during the historic PSL bio-bubble and played a significant role in aiding Bidvest Wits to finish 3rd in the last chapter of the Absa Premiership.

New signings Iqraam Rayners, George Chigova, Mpho Mathebula and Keenan Phillips.

Meanwhile, the Limpopo-based outfit will make their debut in the top flight tourney for the first time after their successful purchase of Bidvest Wits PSL status. have announced the signing of former Orlando Pirates Captain, Oupa Manyisa and ex-Kaizer Chiefs winger, Joseph Molangoane.

Quarter Finals

Saturday, October 17 

  • Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) vs SuperSport United, Thohoyandou Stadium, kick-off at 15:00
  • Orlando Pirates Cape vs Town City, Orlando Stadium, kick-off at 18:00

Sunday, October 18 

  • Kaizer Chiefs vs Maritzburg United, FNB Stadium, kick-off at 15:00
  • Mamelodi Sundowns vs Bloemfontein Celtics, Lucas Moripe Stadium, kick-off at 18:00

October 31 – November 1(1st Leg Semi-Finals)

November 7-8 2nd (Leg Semi-Finals)

December 5 (MTN8 Final)
