Security guard shot dead at a local school

A security guard was shot during a business burglary at Sibambisene Primary School in Pienaar last Friday, August 27.

According to police, police have launched a manhunt for the suspects. Jeffrey Zitha was working as a security guard when the suspects stole laptops.

“Reports indicate that the police at Pienaar as well as the medical personnel were informed about the incident. Upon arrival, the man was certified dead by the paramedics,” said the police.

A murder case was opened and an investigation was launched. The preliminary probe by police suggests that the suspects gained entry through the ceiling.
