He was only 23 years of age when he was found guilty under the Terrorism Act. His last words to his mother, Martha Mahlangu, were “my blood will nourish the tree that will bear fruits of freedom. Tell my people I love them. They must continue the fight.” The ANC will have a wreath-laying ceremony in his honour in Mamelodi West today.
