Teen stabs uncle to death


A 17-year-old boy is expected to appear at the Acornhoek Magistrate’s Court for allegedly stabbing his uncle to death. 

The incident occurred on Monday, June 21, at Ratanang Village in Casteel, Bushbuckridge.

“He was at home when his uncle, who lived with him as his guardian, arrived. It is said that an argument broke out between them which sadly when he allegedly stabbed his uncle on the upper body repeatedly. The matter was reported to police,” said the police.

Police arrived at the scene and found the victim in a pool of blood. Medical personnel were summoned and certified the victim dead. 

A case of murder was opened and the minor was arrested. The matter was handled under the guidance of the Probation Officers.
