A group of robbers fatally shot a tourist at Numbi Road near White River in the early hours of Monday.
According to the police, four German tourists were traveling in a Hyundai H1 on Numbi Road en route to Numbi Gate at Mdluli Safari Lodge. Three armed suspects who were driving in a caddy then stopped them.

The suspects instructed the tourists to open the doors of their vehicle. The driver reportedly locked all the doors, then one suspect shot him on the upper body through the window.
“The driver reversed for about 100 meters before crushing into the wall of Heroes Academy. Unfortunately, the driver got shot and died on the spot. The suspects sped off in their vehicle taking nothing,” said the police.

A murder case was opened, and the police launched a manhunt for the suspects. “No one has been arrested and police urge anyone with information that may assist in this case to immediately call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111.”
