Former MKMVA member’s arson case postponed

MBOMBELA- Former Umkhonto Wesizwe and Military Veterans member, Hevy Sidney Khumalo (55) made his second brief appearance in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court earlier today.

He is facing arson and attempted murder charges. This follows an incident at the provincial African National Congress offices on March 17,2022.

It is alleged that the accused poured petrol in the office. Two employees who were present at the time and set them alight. He then fled the scene but was immediately arrested on the same day. The court postponed the matter to March 30, 2022 for a further bail hearing.
